Sometimes, NOT always.
Learn to think in terms of sometimes rather than all times. While an absolute statement may contain a kernel of truth, anger or frustration may have warped your perception. One way to shift perceptions is to use the word sometimes when there is the temptation to say always or never. It helps us see situations with a bit more nuance and complexity.
A simple word change allows room for exceptions and helps you realize circumstances are not always unequivocal or permanent. Try it out in your everyday self-talk and see if you notice subtle shifts in how you act and feel.
I can; NOT I can't.
Sadly, it is common for people to have negative thoughts about themselves or their abilities to get something done. It is essential to recognize these thoughts and replace them with more positive thinking. Instead of thinking or saying that you can't do something, replace the idea with God's Word.

When your thoughts are negative, you have to deal with those thoughts first. Use the Bible to renew your mind, then move forward in the right direction.

The proclamation that something is hard is negative and uninspiring. It immediately puts you in a harmful frame of mind. It creates a sneaky form of self-sabotage. You are telling yourself that the task will be difficult, and then the next thing you know, it is.

If you want to be more successful, remove the word hard from your vocabulary. If you think that everything is a process, you become more relaxed and calmer. You are putting yourself at ease because it will happen in time. All you need to do is be patient and work on it. You are focusing on working through the steps one at a time. It is easier to stay motivated because you see progress in your work.
